Lizard 3

My third attempt at the lizard design (21"x27.5"). (click to enlarge)

I started with two pieces of Bass wood. I cut each down the middle from 4 inches thick to 2 inches thick. I then used a hand planer to flatten the edges. I glued and clamped the pieces together. I then finished cleaning out a big + section from the center ... this allows for the 4 corners to be raised from the rest of the board.

There are lizards raised on the four corners and each corner has a lizard which is either going into the design or coming out of the design. The individual lizards were stained with colonial maple, natural and golden oak Minwax stain. The frame is made from 1" thick boards from Home Depot.
